My Thoughts On Tanu Weds Manu Returns

Sequels are always tricky. Especially when you haven’t planned for them during the first movie. So when a Part 2 of any story is a success, it’s a BIG thing. Especially in the Indian movie industry. Thankfully, Tanu Weds Manu Returns is a resounding success. Despite being a sequel, it does not feel inferior to its predecessor in any manner. My Thoughts On Piku

Piku is a slice of life movie. No larger than life characters. No intricate plots. No foreign locales. No item numbers. No nacho gaana (song and dance). Yet despite the missing usual ingredients for a masala potboiler that guarantees box office success, Piku pulls a string in hearts of audiences across demographics. Partly due to the comedic situations that Bachchan’s characters’s bowels pose but mostly because of the down to earth banter that takes place between all the characters.

52 in 2015 Update: April

So here we are, the fourth month of the 52 in 2015 challenge. A bit of a mixed bag like the previous months. But some really good progress on many fronts.

Starting with my fitness, my weight is still a long way from the target number but at least I seem to be ensuring that I don’t gain any more weight. But my step count has also been a tad under the mark as I haven’t seem to breaking the average of 12k per month.
